Why Insure4theCure?

Like most families, the Thorne Family has personal experience dealing with cancer.  Our youngest sister, Krista was diagnosed with Leukemia at age 19 while away at her freshman year in college.  Years later, our father was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer at the age of 75.  The amazing news is that both Krista and Dad have survived and as of this writing, are now 41 and almost 82 years old!   We know their outcomes are the result of prayer, attitude, a strong and positive family/friend support system, years of research for a cure, and incredible physicians and nurses!   Our Insure4theCure program is simply our way to say  “thank you” and to do our part to support the goal of finding cures for cancer.  We do this by making individual donations to volunteer participants in fundraising programs such as the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s “Team in Training” and “Light The Night” events, as well as similar type events for the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, and other non-profits.


How Insure4theCure Works


You’re probably at this site at the request of a friend, family member, or co-worker, who has committed to raise money for a non-profit dedicated to finding a cure for cancer, or dedicated to providing assistance to cancer patients and their families.  You can help this person reach his or her fundraising goal by simply getting a quote for your auto, home or term life insurance.  Follow the steps below:

  1. Step 1 - Get a quote.  Simply get a quote for your auto, home or term life insurance needs.  As an independent agency, we’ll shop your insurance needs to a variety of insurance companies and provide the most competitive quote to you.
  2. Step 2 - Compare. If we can’t save money for you, we’ll donate $10 to your participant’s fundraising account.
  3. Step 3 – Save money and Insure4theCure!  If we can save money for you, then you can purchase the policies, save money, and get our great customer service as a bonus!  TFIS then makes a larger donation to your fundraising participant’s account:
  • Purchase either an auto or home policy… We donate $25 this year, and every year you continue to Insure4theCure.
  • Purchase both an auto and home policy… We donate $75 this year, and every year you continue to Insure4theCure.
  • Purchase a term life insurance policy… We donate $100 this year to your fundraising participant’s account.

Fundraising Participant’s Information


          

Insure4theCure can be a substantial fundraising tool for you as you strive to meet your fundraising goals!   The concept is simple.   Everyone needs auto, home or renter’s insurance.  So if we can save money for them, and earn their business, then we’ll make a donation to YOUR fundraising account to help you reach your goal.  All you need to do is communicate the Insure4theCure program  to your family, friends and co-workers.  The donations can be substantial, and the bonus is that insurance is an annual contract, so Insure4theCure will CONTINUE to make a donation to your fundraising account EVERY YEAR!  This allows you to continue to participate in your fundraising events every year and grow your fundraising levels, as your fundraising account will receive automatic donations from the prior year policies, as long as your friends, family and co-workers remain insured in the Insure4theCure program!

EXAMPLE:   Let’s say you communicate our program via email to 50 of your friends, family and co-workers...

  • 30 people contact Insure4theCure for a quote
  • Of the 30 people, there are 10 who can’t save money...( 10 x $10 = $100)
  • Of the 20 we can help, 10 get both an auto and home policy...(10 x $75 = $750)**
  • Of that same 20, 10 get either an auto or home policy...(10 x $25 = $250)**
  • Of the 20 we can help, 5 get a term life insurance policy...(5 x $100= $500)
  • Total 1st year contributions to your fundraising account would be $1,600!
             
** These contributions are made every year, so as long as the policies renew and remain with Insure4theCure, these contributions continue to be made to your fundraising account!

YEAR 2….
  • Your fundraising account automatically receives up to ...$1,000**
  • You communicate Insure4theCure
  • to 50 people with same results as Yr 1...$1,600
  • Total 2nd year Potential Contributions... $2,600

If for some reason, you decide to not continue with your fundraising events, Insure4theCure will continue to make the donations to the charity’s general donation fund.

Here’s how to get started…  Simply enter your information in the box to the right of the above video, and we’ll send a short email video you can forward to your friends, family and co-workers.  It explains our Insure4theCure program and simply asks the viewer to go to  www.Insure4theCure.org where they can learn about our program and if they desire, request a quote.   We do the rest, and all you do is watch your fundraising balance grow, as Insure4theCure makes contributions to your account!
